* Operate engine to operating temperature and methodically inspect all systems to be certain they are all operating as they should.
* Remove and replace the drive oil (when applicable)
* Top off fluids like anti-freeze fluid and steering fluid
* Treat gasoline with fuel stabilizers and fuel treatments
* Drain engine block, intake manifold and exhaust system of all water
* Cylinder fog treatments
* Disconnect batteries or turn battery switch off
* Replace fuel filters

* Turn on and run engine to normal operating temperature. Check to ensure all systems are working correctly
* Stabilize fuel system
* Drain lower unit gear oil, evaluate for the presence of water, replace drain and vent seals, refill with a blend of synthetic, high performance grade oil
* Operate engine another time to regular operating temp. Use fog treatments on cylinders
* Douse engine with water with a lubricant and corrosive inhibitor for added protection for the duration of the winter
* Disconnect the batteries or turn off the switch
